The latest old school celebrity to get his own reality show is MC Hammer whose show ‘Hammertime’ premiered last weekend. We’ll all be getting the inside scoop on his family and where his shiny pants have gone. But did you ever think that a reunion with the original white rapper Vanilla Ice would be going down? Hammer confirmed that the former rap star will make an appearance on the show saying “Well, get ready for a big reunion with me and Vanilla Ice that can’t be missed. We meet up, or Tweet up, in Utah and do a little somethin’ there.” Frankly, you can never give me enough reasons to want to watch this show.

Vanilla Ice narrowly escaped death after being caught up in a natural disaster.
The Ice Ice Baby singer got stuck in a series of tornadoes near Nashville, Tennessee.
Vanilla Ice, real name Rob Van Winkle, said: “We were just in the middle of a huge tornado, in Nashville. I saw a house, truck, flying in the air! Wow! Dodged a bullet!”
The tornadoes left 30 people in the hospital, uprooted power lines and destroyed at least 10 homes on one road alone. Amazingly, no deaths were reported.
The rapper was in town for a comeback tour with MC Hammer.

With MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice coming out of whatever rock they’ve been hiding under to come together for a sort of comeback concert, someone thought that it was the right opportunity to get a comeback going. It’s being reported that a reality show is in the works for MC Hammer. The show is going to be called ‘Hammertime’. What the heck will they be packing in this one now? Are they going to follow him around as he tries to build his career from the grave up? I’m not even going to give this one a shot at getting picked up. If it does get picked up, I give it a maximum of three episodes.

Remember that time you were sitting with your friends and found yourself saying “Wouldn’t it be really cool if MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice staged a comeback concert in Utah?” Of course you don’t because I doubt anyone has ever thought that. Unfortunately, it’s happening. The 90s has-beens are headlining an event at the McKay Event Center in Orem, Utah. The gig will go down on February 27th and tickets range from $29.50 to $35. That’s pretty pricey if you ask me. But they need the money to pay their rents so I guess that’s fine. Mind you, Orem population is 90% white and often referred to as Family City USA.

Just because some people from the golden years can make a new album and make a successful comeback doesn’t mean everyone should do it. Try telling that to Vanilla Ice. The rapper is back wit ha new album of sorts. The album ‘Vanilla Ice is Back! Hip Hop Classics’ features 13 tracks, 1 of which is his hit ‘Ice Ice Baby’ and 3 more of which are remixes of the said song. What the heck? For the rest of the album, the rapper desperately tries to resurrect rap and hip hop songs from the 90s which were laid to rest when they were for good reason. I don’t think anyone needs to hear his interpretation of Six Mix-a-Lot’s ‘Baby Got Back’. The album is accompanied by a so-called tour of meet and greets at various bars in multiple cities. Lord save us all.

Has been rapper and recent reality TV star Vanilla Ice, whose real name is Robert Matthew Van Winkle, was arrested on Thursday night for allegedly hitting and kicking his wife. His wife Laura told a deputy that “He started yelling at me for going out to buy a bedroom set. In front of my daughter. I’m sorry I can’t say any more until I talk to an attorney.” Is he so hard up on cash that he would hit his wife for buying a household necessity? According to the Palm Beach Post, the 40-year old Winkle was charged with simple domestic battery and is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail.
