Hendrix Accident

Jimi Hendrix’s cousin Riki was seriously injured on Monday. Riki Hendrix was painting the Sudden Dunes Resort in California when he fell off a 20-foot scaffolding resulting in a broken pelvis, broken ribs and a punctured lung. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital where he is still being taken care off. The painting thing is just a temporary gig for the musician as he says that he can’t wait to heal up so he can go back to touring. Honestly, I didn’t even know he existed. What does he play again? If it weren’t for the name Hendrix… well, you finish that sentence.

Whitney Houston Performs for Charity

Whitney Houston stands to make over $2 million just to perform at a London charity event. Doesn’t that defeat the whole purpose of charity? Whitney has been booked by billionaire philanthropist John Caudwell to perform for one measly house at the Cauldwell Children Legends Ball at London’s Battersea Evolution arena on May 8, 2008. $2 million for 1 hour – they should’ve just donated the money to charity or at least make it a donation to the charity under the diva’s name. A source said “Mr. Caudwell thinks it is important to raise the profile of the Cauldwell Children charity and stars such as Whitney Houston are the sort of people he’s hoping to attract.” It just doesn’t make sense to me.
