The Who’s Pete Townshend may have to quit the iconic rock band after the return of his tinnitus, a painful ringing in the ears caused by noise-induced hearing loss. The legendary guitarist doesn’t think that The Who can continue on if his health doesn’t improve, saying “If my hearing is going to be a problem, we’re not delaying shows. We’re finished. I can’t really see any way around the issue.” The band already cancelled for both the Coachella and New Orleans Jazz Festivals but Pete is meeting with a specialist at the urging of Neil Young who is also dealing with tinnitus. Pete has been given an in-ear monitor which could prevent more damage and the band will get to test it out when they play on March 30 for the charity Teenage Cancer Trust. I hope it goes well.
The Who sucks and even the guys in the band think so. Lead singer Roger Daltrey has as much complaints with his Super Bowl performance as everyone else. Roger spoke to ESPN about the gig and how disappointed he and the rest of the band were with the results. He said “Cameras were everywhere. I was so blinded that I couldn’t see. And I really wished the crowd would have gotten into singing the songs with us more. That’s how it is in Europe for our soccer matches. I wanted more banter.” Pete Townshend agreed saying “We were trying to put on a good show, we had as fun as we could have.” Too bad no one else did.

Who – Who Are You Lyrics
It is being rumored that legendary 1960s British rock band, The Who, will be taking the stage at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show. If that does go down, the event will mark the band’s first live performance in the United States in two years. It’s a good choice but I kind of miss the years when they paraded out Britney Spears to sing with Aerosmith and when Justin Timberlake got shamed for undressing Janet Jackson. Don’t get me wrong though, I love The Who. However, this whole G-rated thing doesn’t really peak my interest and I doubt anything newsworthy will happen at the event.
Sources are saying that things on The Who reunion tour aren’t going well. Front man Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend are supposedly not getting on well. Townshend supposedly wants to try out some new stuff while Daltrey thinks they should stick to the classics. But with the tour expecting to make $100 million, everyone is doing anything to keep it together. The rockers have separate locker rooms on opposite ends of the hallway. There’s no conversation made between the two before and after performances. They even have separate travel arrangements, separate hotel accommodations and separate staffing. That’s some crazy work.
