There’s been rumors going around about another Spice Girls reunion but it turns out that the UK girl band has been planning for a stage musical. The singers are looking for 5 unknown actresses to play each of them and bring their story of stardom to the stage in what’s being billed as a two hour pop extravaganza. Those actresses will be the luckiest girls for sure. Geri Halliwell is serving as the show’s producer while Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Victoria Beckham will all be involved in the project as well, including casting. With the Spice Girls’ fan base, the show will surely be a hit.

The remaining Spice Girls are reportedly planning to reunite for a full-scale comeback in the upcoming weeks. How will it be full-scale if Victoria Beckham isn’t part of it? Oh well, it’s not like Posh’s singing talents were ever really featured anyway. Victoria says that she doesn’t have the time or desire to join the group again but Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C will be meeting up to discuss the reunion. And they’re not at all worried about not having the biggest star among them coming with. A source said “When Geri left the first time, she was arguably the band’s biggest star… If they coped without her, they are confident they can make it work without Posh.” Another source said that the girls plan to be on the road by this time next year.

There are all kinds of rumors going around after the Spice Girls, minus Victoria Beckham, were spotted together at dinner last week. The theory is that another reunion is in the works for the UK girl band and it is seemingly more accurate as time passes. Geri Halliwell recently confirmed that she and the rest of the singers were talking about future plans. Now, Mel B has gone on her Twitter to address the rumors saying “World cup! wow the press are soo silly no I am not getting the girls together for the world cup!!! We are getting together for other reasons!”

Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has hinted that the band might get back together.

Ginger Spice has sparked rumours that the group might possibly reunite.

Geri, 37, told U.K. TV show This Morning: “We are friends first and foremost. Obviously a career and music evolved through that friendship I think. Whatever happens afterwards is a bonus.

“We always talk about creative plans. Right – now, I’ll be honest: We are gathering information about a possibility, but I don’t like to… when you are evolving a plan, you don’t want to share it with the world.”

The girls have reunited previously for the Return of the Spice Girls tour back in 2008.

Melanie C, formerly known as Sporty Spice, has recently been cast in the West End production of ‘Blood Brothers’ for the role of Mrs. Johnstone. The singer has some big shoes to fill as past actresses who took on the role include the likes of Petula Clark, Kiki Dee and Carole King. Fans are excited for her to debut on October 26 though with some even changing their original theatre plans to get tickets for Mel’s run. I love her voice and I know that she can really sing so here’s to hoping that her acting can be given props too. I don’t think it’s a good thing that her only acting credit was ‘Spiceworld’.

Spice Tour Comes to an End
Well, it’s done and over with. The Spice Girls have wrapped up their reunion tour and they’ve posted their farewell on their official blog. They say “Our time is up… we’ve come to the end of the road… there are tears of both sadness and joy. Look how far we’ve come!” They thank all the loyal fans who, ten years on, are still giving their full support to the girls. They end the post with a line from their song saying “We hate goodbyes but sadly the time has come to take our final bow so maybe our song says it best: ‘Goodbye my friend, it’s not the end… So glad we made it, time will never ever change it…’”

It was all looking so good for them, but even good things can’t last forever. A fed Mel C has split up the Spice Girls once again, telling them she has had enough.

Mel C had been locked in talks over the bands future with fllow bandmates, Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell. She has decided she does not want to continue so the rest of the girls have decided to cancel plans to take their reunion tour to Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina. They will play their last gig in Canada later this month.

A source revealed: “Geri and Victoria have been loving the attention and adulation the tour has been bringing the girls in the UK and North America. Mel B has really enjoyed being on stage and performing again. And Emma has found it hard with a young son but was prepared to carry on. But Mel C is the one who always insisted the reunion should be only short-term. Now she wants to go back to doing her own thing.

“Because they couldn’t all agree, the extra tour dates have been pulled. Touring has been harder on all the girls this time round. But all of them could have been persuaded to continue – apart from Mel C.”

Emma Bunton, a.k.a. “Baby Spice,” has become a mother for the first time – of a boy named Beau

Beau, which in French means “beautiful,” was born on Friday at 11:12 a.m. and weighed a healthy 7 lbs., 15oz. – the same birth weight as his father, Bunton boyfriend Jade Jones, according to Bunton’s London rep, Alan Edwards.

Speaking outside London’s Portland Hospital, Jones said: “He is absolutely brilliant, and both baby and Emma are doing fine. In fact Emma is tucking into some flapjacks and Coca-Cola as we speak.”

The new father added, “We are both absolutely delighted and can’t wait to take Beau home.”

Jones, 27, is a former member of the British boy band Damage. He and Spice Girl Bunton, 31, have been together for eight years and moved into a five-bedroom home in her native north London in 2005.

Motherhood for the youngest of the reunion-bound five-piece has been difficult to achieve.

In 2000, Bunton had to have pre-cancerous cells removed from her cervix. Last year, she revealed she’d been diagnosed with endometriosis, a painful condition in which the lining of the uterus begins growing in other areas of the body, making it difficult to conceive.

Less than two months ago, Bunton told “I’m getting a little feisty now that I am pregnant.”

Bunton has a tattoo of “Baby” on her body but refuses to reveal its location – apart from denying she sits on it.

“I guess I will be handing over the ‘Baby’ tag now to a deserving little new owner,” Bunton said in a statement in January, when she first announced her pregnancy.

In all, there are now seven Spice Kids: “Posh” Victoria Beckham has three sons; “Scary” Melanie Brown has two daughters; and “Ginger” Geri Halliwell has a daughter. That leaves only “Sporty” Melanie Chisholm waiting to enjoy Spice

British pop star Kate Nash has hit out at the upcoming Spice Girls reunion tour, accusing the girl group of reuniting just for the money. The Foundations singer believes the newly-reformed Spice Girls’ 14-date world tour will be “embarrassing.” Kate dear, that’s what they are doing, correct – just for they money. And please do not tell that you are in the music business for charity or the fun of it. No one is and so you are no different. You are not here to eat and drink music like the others too proclaim – we eat, drink and sleep music. You do not get paid to lick your ass, you only get paid when you sing and that’s what they are doing, and whether or not their world to will be a hit well we can leave that to time as only will tell us how successful their tour will turn out to be. If she thinks that she can gain something from their tour then why hesitate, be humble and they might allow her to get on stage for a gig in Baghdad, a place they are not going to visiting now.

The Spice Girls just churned out a new promo picture to generate more hype to their world tour. Is it me or is this not the most obvious photoshop job? With all the rumors of catfights, I hardly think they’d have the will to pose together.

Fights or not, the girls just added four new shows to their tour. Vancouver, San Jose, Beijing and Shanghai have been added as pit stops. Their official website says that they’ve had over 3 million ticket requests.

Looks like our world is still Spice world. The 14-stop tour will kick off on December 2 in Canada and ends on January 24 in Buenos Aires.
