Ringo Starr seems to have developed somewhat of an animosity towards his fans. After being surprised by a fan when receiving and award he handled the situation by screaming “Get the fuck off” at her. Also, only last month Ringo posted a video message on his website in which he refuses to sign autographs anymore or read fan mail. In the video he mentioned: “I’m warning you with peace and love. I have too much to do.” He must have reached the braking point… poor guy, so many years under the spotlight must have made some permanent damage to his personality. Peace and love seems to be a very powerful weapon for Ringo.

Former Beatle Ringo Starr has proclaimed just how big of a douche he is in a video on his personal website. He said “Please do not send fan mail to any address you have. Nothing will be signed after the 20th of October. If that is the date on the envelope, it’s gonna be tossed. I’m warning you with peace and love I have too much to do… No more fan mail and no objects to be signed. Nothing.” Was that public announcement really necessary? Maybe he’s just trying to drive up the value of Ringo signed stuff out in the marketplace. I wonder what he’s busy with. He’s 68 years old. Unless he has a new album like Paul McCartney, I doubt he’s up to much.

The last unfinished John Lennon track could see the light of day as a tribute to “fifth Beatle” Neil Aspinall who died last week.

Now And Then was unearthed with Real Love and Free As A Bird during the Fab Four’s Anthology series in the 1990s. While the other two tracks were spruced up by Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr and went on to become top ten hits, Now And Then was left untouched.

Neil worked as chief of Apple Corps until last year and ensured The Beatles profited from their back catalogue. An insider said: “There have been discussions about finishing Now And Then. It would be quite a task. The process of re-recording the two tracks that charted was fairly painless because the songs were almost complete. Now And Then will need a significant amount more work to get it into a condition where it could be released.”

With George also dead, I reckon Paul and Ringo should work together one last time in tribute to departed members of the group’s inner circle.

Stevie Wonder and His Fans

67-year old rocker and former Beatle Ringo Starr may have been a big snob to his fans on Monday night but not all legendary musicians grow up to be snobs. Take Stevie Wonder for example. The blind singer went to Mr. Chow on Monday night and stopped to sign autographs for his fans – with a little help from a sighted friend of course. The legendary music man just wanted to make sure that the ‘S’ on his name was curled at the top. That’s much better than any sighted Ringo that’s for sure. If a blind man can sign an autograph, so can you!

Ringo is a Snob

One of the two surviving Beatles, Ringo Starr, was spotted on Monday night and it seems that he was in a less than friendly mood. He refused to stop to pose for photos or sign a single autograph in New York. Autograph seekers tried everything to get a rise out of the former mop top by shouting “Sign for the dead people, sign for Martin Luther King” but to no avail. The Beatle stonewalled them all by shouting and pushing his way through and out of the crowd. Just because you were once part of the band who thought they were more famous than Jesus doesn’t mean you can be a snob!
