And she has been rewarded in full for her loyalty thus far. It seems that Paula Abdul has received Oprah Winfrey’s OK to film her own talk-show with celebrity invites and whatnot. But that’s not all, not only will Paula Abdul have her own talk-show but she will still be participating as a judge on The X Factor along with some of her old friends from American Idol. And nary a few months ago Paula Abdul was facing prospects of unemployment. It seems good things do come to those who pray to Oprah Winfrey and maintain their faith even in the darkest of times.

Simon Cowell has said he ‘wants to work’ with Paula Abdul again in the future.

The 50-year-old talent show judge recently announced that he is quitting American Idol and will be bringing UK show The X Factor to the States.

Abdul, 47, used to be a judge on Idol but later quit the show and Cowell has said he hopes to work with her again in the future.

He said: “Paula has been talking to me for months. I’ve always made it clear that in some capacity I want to work with Paula again.

“It might be here, it might be in England. I adore Paula.”

Cowell added that fans of X Factor will ‘probably’ find out who will star on the new US show within the next month.

The singer who judged American Idol last year and who apparently had no prospects for further work this time around has been saved by Simon Cowell. It seems Paula Abdul has signed a contract for the American version of Simon Cowell’s popular “talent show”. This is what a source related on the matter: “Simon flew Paula to London and wined and dined her relentlessly over the course of several days, even introducing her to everyone who works on X Factor. But what really clinched the deal was Simon’s pledge that she wouldn’t have to deal with all the nonsense and infighting that she hated on Idol.” Things are looking up for Paula Abdul aren’t they? And to think it was all because of the Earl of Exigency… you could hardly believe it. She’ll probably hardly believe it too, especially after the show starts.

It seems the former American Idol judge is sorry she took the decision to quit her position, especially now since Ellen DeGeneres has become so popular and appreciated by her new colleagues. A friend of Paula Abdul’s said the following about the matter: “Paula was full of optimism when she left ‘Idol.’ She was confident she would get her own talk show and even a gig performing live on the Las Vegas strip — none of which has materialized. It’s going to get worse in January when ‘Idol’ is everywhere with Ellen sitting in her seat.” Well, as the old saying goes: you win some, you lose some. Paula Abdul just made a bad call… it’s not like it’s going to haunt her forever.

It seems like Paula Abdul may be getting herself a gig in Las Vegas. Reports are saying that the former American Idol judge is looking to take over a bigger stage and is in serious talks to bring a revue-style stage show Sin City. I don’t doubt that she can pull it off. Judging from her performance on Idol last season, she still has the moves. She’s going to have to lip synch though but a lot of people seem to be doing that these days. It’s no longer a shocker. Sources say that some of the names interested in Paula’s stage show are The Venetian, the Wynn Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Hilton.
