The second album is called ‘Lotus Flower’ and is described as “a varied album, featuring cuts recorded over the course of two years, but standout tracks include some heavy rockers.” I can’t wait to hear the new music!

Welsh crooner Tom Jones is trying to make a comeback as he is set to release new, original material in the US this fall. 15 years have passed since his last American release. Does he even have a fan base left? According to reports, Tom’s new album is going to have a retro feel, much like Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black’. The singer told the press “The fire is still in me. Not to be an oldie, but a goodie. I want to be a contender.” Tom either co-wrote or collaborated with the songwriters for most of the upcoming album. U2’s Bono and the Edge even have a guest spot on the song ‘Sugar Daddy’. Interesting.

It’s comeback season once again as 90s rockers Alice In Chains are reportedly working on a new album. It’s been more than 13 years since they’ve been in the studio to work on new material. The new stuff will feature their new singer William DuVall. Their original mouth Layne Staley suffered a fatal drug overdose in 2002. What do you say, grunge rockers? Personally, bands with new singers, especially those with a hardcore following, don’t do so well. it’s all about letting the spirit of the old singer leave on. Fans would rather see a new band, even if it had old faces, instead of trying to recreate what they had before.
