Madonna has revealed she and Justin Timberlake drank tequila and vodka after her New York show.

The ‘4 Minutes’ singer - who stunned crowds at the free Manhattan concert when she welcomed Justin on stage - revealed she was feeling slightly hung-over after partying on Wednesday night.

She said: “We had to celebrate. We decided we both work too hard and have to have fun. I had a shot of tequila. I may have had a lemon drop, too! We ‘tied one on’, as they say.”

The 49-year-old singer and her 27-year-old collaborator went to New York’s exclusive nightclub The Box where they danced and drank with friends including Josh Duhamel, fashion designer Alexander McQueen and R.E.M frontman Michael Stipe.

Madonna also revealed she thinks Justin is the perfect pop star, adding: “He’s ambitious but not in an offensive way. He’s incredibly responsible and he’s good at what he does and I think he has a long future in front of him. He understands the insanity of being a pop star.”

Meanwhile, mother-of-three Madonna said despite leaving her “brat” side behind her, she still likes displaying her “cheeky side” in her music. She told US TV show ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I think I’m many things. I think I’m a lady, I think I’m a brat, I think I’m a nerd, I think I’m a pimp, I think I’m a mother, I think I’m a kid. I can’t be a brat forever! But that was fun, it was fun being a brat. I’ve still got my cheeky side.”

Janet Jackson was spotted as she caught a departing flight out of LAX airport in Los Angeles which arrived in Japan’s Narita International Airport on Wednesday. When asked about what she loved in Japan, Janet responded with “I love Japan so much because it never bores me. I want to visit KiddyLand, sushi restaurants and clubs with my friends.” All these things she could do in LA. The 41-year old singer is on a 3-day tour to promote her latest album ‘Discipline’. This is Janet’s sixth number one album. She is now tied with Madonna in the US for most chart toppers for a female artist. Barbra Streisand still holds the record with 8.

Madonna is still all over the place as she now takes the cover of the May issue of UK’s Elle. In the accompanying interview, she talks about her kids, why she married director Guy Ritchie and about some of the songs she wrote with him in mind. The Queen of Pop gets really intimate with the magazine on some parts of the interview. Here’s something you might not want to know but I’d still tell you anyway – Madonna said that “Sex with Guy is incredible!” Can someone say “too much information”? But let me guess – with all that working out she does, I bet Madonna likes it on top. I can feel the dominatrix vibe.

I’ve expressed my thoughts on Madonna’s new single ‘4 Minutes (To Save the World)’ saying that I’m just not into it. It seems that the Queen of Pop doesn’t have that much faith on the song either because she has chosen to go corporate to generate excitement for the song and the rest of her album which is due out on April 28. The first single off the album has actually debuted in a new Sunsilk shampoo commercial on March 17. The spot traces Madonna’s ever-evolving look through the years as a means to inspire girls to play around with current styles. In short, she’s pimping out her single and getting paid millions to do so.

Prepare for your minds to be invaded by Madonna.

She seems to be very happy with her upcoming album. And who wouldn’t be with the likes of Pharell, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland collaborating with them? She’s so happy that she is really pushing for the release in November and hopes to tour by June 2008. Nothing is set in stone though.

If the new album doesn’t come out by the fall, there are also talks of releasing a 25th anniversary box set. Again, blog4-madonna.jpgnot set in stone. What is confirmed is that she is going to continue working on writing children’s books. She is releasing 12 new titles and the first 4 will be released this fall.

Madonna is hard at work on her new album with. Of course, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake are along for the ride. And if spotting them leaving a London recording studio this past weekend looking overjoyed is a sign, I guess the collaboration is going well.

They must have a good song on them. Or they could be stoned. I’m kidding.

But with the likes of JT and Timbaland who have scored hits together and as solo acts or producers, how could Madonna not be happy with the music? People would kill to be backed up by those two men. It’s almost like a guarantee of you getting a hit.

They rocked the world, but as the clean-up at nine climate change gigs around the globe begins, many wonder if the galaxy of pop stars did much to change it.

U.S. and British media were generally under whelmed on Sunday by Live Earth, the mega-concert organized by former U.S. vice president and green campaigner Al Gore, which, though built on the model of Live Aid and Live 8, created a less positive buzz.

In Germany, however, newspapers were more upbeat about Saturday’s gigs designed to pressure leaders to sign a new treaty by 2009 that would cut global warming pollution by 90 percent in rich nations and more than half worldwide by 2050.

Several articles examined the green credentials of artists on the day, including Madonna, whose annual “carbon footprint” was estimated at around 100 times the average Briton’s.

The News of the World tabloid, Britain’s biggest-selling newspaper, detailed estimates of Madonna’s carbon emissions from nine houses, a fleet of cars, a private jet and the Confessions tour, calling her a “climate-change catastrophe.”

The Sunday Telegraph quoted U.S. reports of her alleged financial links to companies accused of being major polluters.

Her spokeswoman in Britain was not immediately available for comment, but in a statement appearing in the Independent on Sunday, her New York spokeswoman said:

“Madonna’s agreeing to sing at the Live Earth Event is merely one of the first steps in her commitment towards being environmentally responsible.”

The negative headlines took some gloss off Madonna’s widely praised appearance at Wembley Stadium in London, where she sang her specially written anthem “Hey You” before a raunchy performance of three of her biggest hits.
