Here’s an interesting development: seeing as how Steven Tyler is busy resting and Joe Perry and the rest of the band really don’t have the patience necessary to put up with him anymore, in comes John Kaldoner, the man behind their ‘80s revival, with his own solution for Aerosmith: “I was talking to Marty Frederickson about this because he co-wrote ‘Jaded’ and worked with them for 10 years or so. We were talking about how no one can replace Steven Tyler, but the only person he said – and I agreed with – that could even make Aerosmith anything would be Lenny Kravitz.” Right… well, that’s an interesting idea, but as for convincing Lenny Kravitz to get into Aerosmith, that’s a different matter entirely. The man has a good thing going for him… by himself! He’s not going to throw that out just to be part of some band. Maybe this is going to be the wake-up call Steven Tyler needs.
The rocker recently admitted that he his at his happiest in harsh living conditions, even though his musical success affords him a lot better. Lenny Kravitz said the following about his lifestyle: “I love material things but I’m not defined by them. I love Paris but I’m much, much happier on my farm in Brazil or my beach shack in the Bahamas. I’m happiest in dirt. When I’m in those places, I’m living less than basic, it’s all I need. It’s nature, it’s real, I sleep under the stars, I farm and I swim in the sea.” It really does seem like a cool thing that Lenny Kravitz likes to live like that… but you don’t see him giving up his fortune so that others can enjoy the barely decent life he seems to try to avoid. Now why is that?
Lenny Kravitz has just unveiled the video for “Dancin’ Til Dawn,” the third single off his 8th studio album, It Is Time For a Love Revolution. The video was shot and directed by seminal French photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino who has helmed videos for Madonna, David Bowie, Sting, Bjork and more. The single, “Dancin’ Til Dawn” comes across as the materialization of a career that has spanned almost two decades of classic rock, old-school soul and gritty funk sculpted into a contemporary rock smash.
The fourteen tracks that complete It Is Time For A Love Revolution were written, recorded and produced by Lenny Kravitz

First it was Dolly Parton and now it’s Lenny Kravitz. According to his spokesperson, the rocker has been taken to the hospital for treatment as he is suffering from severe bronchitis. Lenny has been suffering from a series of severe respiratory tract infections as well as the flu since mid-January which evolved into bronchitis. Doctors apparently were not able to control his illness with outpatient treatment and has since been advised by professionals to check into a hospital. His estimated length of stay was not released. Lenny’s illness has forced him to postpone a European promo tour for his new album ‘It Is Time for a Love Revolution’.
