More of Michael Jackson’s stuff is going up for sale! 22 items of the King of Pop’s furniture will be put on auction on June 28th at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas as a part of Julien’s Auctions Music Icons series as well as the Newbrigde Silverware’s Museum of Style Icon’s in Ireland on May 30th. Some of the pieces up for sale include an $18,000 seashell encrusted bergere and $60,000 red velvet armchairs. Such tacky items but I couldn’t expect anything less from the late singer. Will you be putting up some bids for any of the King of Pop’s stuff?

It was a sold out show Tuesday night at the Flamingo and Marie and Donny Osmond took the stage for their Las Vegas show, only a day after Marie laid her son, Michael Bryan, to rest. The audience looked on as Marie worked through her performances with tears in her eyes and shakiness in her voice. The singer explained to the crowd that she was dedicating the song to her angel and she knew that he would want her to carry on. Marie said “The way Osmonds survive is we keep singing. That’s what we want to do tonight. I know my son would want that and this show is for him.”

In the wake of the devastating loss of her son to suicide, Marie Osmond is picking up the pieces and returning to her gig in Las Vegas. The Flamingo Hotel has confirmed that the singer and her brother Donny will return to their stage show this Tuesday, only a day after the scheduled funeral for her son Michael. Hold strong Marie. My thoughts are with you and the rest of the Osmond family at this most difficult time. My condolences to you and I do hope that the family will be able to find peace in light of this tragedy.

Barbra Streisand was reportedly offered a whopping $100 million for a three year contract to perform in Las Vegas and the legendary singer said no! A source said “After Celine Dion left Vegas, no one has been able to replace her. Bette Midler failed, Cher is trying, only Barbra is guaranteed to succeed. She’s an international star and the only performer in the world that would make people flock to Vegas year after year.” Well, it’s not like Barbra needs the money anyway but she is going on a tour this summer. The icon doesn’t go out of style as her latest release ‘Love is the Answer’ actually beat out Paramore and Mariah Carey for the top spot on the charts last October.

Better Midler’s Las Vegas show, ‘The Showgirl Must Go On’, ended on Sunday and no one really cared. The singer began her run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in February 2008 and it has since tanked. According to Comscore, Bette had 19,000 unsold seats in January. Ouch! It really was her time to go. Oh well. it was better for the icon to have left now rather than have completely empty shows. That’s where she was already headed anyway. Better to quit when you’re ahead – or halfway thru – than be labeled such a loser if she kept pushing it.
