Ike Turner’s Ex Wants Some Stuff
Ike Turner has been dead since last December but that’s not stopping his ex-wife from filing a claim against the controversial rock ‘n’ roller’s estate. No, it’s not Tina. Ike’s former wife Jeanette Bazzell Turner is claiming that she has a right to the late musician’s stuff because of community property laws and now she wants the courts to take a look at her case and hopefully rule in her favor. She was married to Ike in Las Vegas in 1995 and was divorced from him in 2000. Maybe Tina should file a similar claim just so the rest of them would shut up – she’d probably own everything.

Ike Turner’s Death

The autopsy results are in and it has been determined that music legend Ike Turner died of an accidental cocaine overdose as revealed by the San Diego County Coroner. How do you accidentally die of an overdose when you know it’s bad for you?

Chief Investigator at the Medical Examiner’s Office Paul Parker said that “We are listing that he abused cocaine, and that’s what resulted in the cocaine toxicity.” Ike’s daughter Mia told the AP that her father’s drug use was “an ongoing struggle.” It was such a big struggle that it ultimately led to the music legend’s death on December 12 at his rented San Marcos home.

Ike Turner Laid to Rest

Music legend Ike Turner made a final appearance on Thursday in a spectacular gold-studded lilac suit with a golden Fender Stratocaster by the side of his coffin. The elaborate silver coffin was topped with a massive spray of white flowers at the Angelus Funeral Home on Crenshaw Blvd., where hundreds filed past to pay their final respects. Phil Spector, who’s accused of murder, was spotted in the queue.

He may have had a shady past including beating up diva ex-wife Tina Turner and doing cocaine, but we can’t deny what he’s done for the industry. I hope Ike finally finds his peace.

Ike Turner’s Last Moments

The death of music legend was pretty much a shock to everyone in the music industry and the events leading to his death were unknown – until now.

It’s being reported that Ike Turner had just finished eating breakfast last Wednesday morning at his home in San Marcos, California when he decided to lay down to rest for a few minutes. His personal assistant, along with members of the Kings of Rhythm band, were at his house. One of the band members went to wake Ike up but he was non-responsive. When paramedics arrived around 11AM, they unsuccessfully performed CPR.

The actual cause of death is still unknown but his manager did say that he had been suffering from emphysema for years.

RIP Ike

He was credited with helping craft the very first rock and roll song in 1951; Rocket 88. Then he became paired with his wife; who swiftly overshadowed him and most people probably haven’t given him a second thought except whilst enjoying one of Tina’s concerts.

I am of course talking about Ike Turner. Commonly known for his bullying and ogre-like behaviour towards former wife Tina; the 76 year old has passed away.

He died at home and no cause of death has been released yet. Drugs? Old age? Or perhaps great envy and massive guilt regarding the huge success that Tina has rightfully received? He could have died a legend; instead I doubt that in the fame department many will miss him.

RIP Ike.
