Grieving John Travolta cut a lonely figure as he munched on a cheeseburger and fries during a flying visit to Miami Beach.

The Hollywood superstar, who has rarely been seen out in public since his beloved son Jett died earlier this year, was incognito as he dined on a restaurant balcony at the exclusive Fontainebleau Resort.

Hiding under a black baseball cap, the 55-year-old ‘Grease’ star sported a neatly trimmed moustache and wore a black jumper and white trousers.

He washed down his lunch with a glass of iced tea and chatted on his cell phone on Sunday afternoon.

It’s thought he had sat down to eat following a brief trip to the hotel’s luxury spa.

In contrast to many of his fellow A-listers, Travolta was not surrounded by security and had no entourage as he walked around the complex.

It appeared that only the waiter who served his lunch realised that a legendary actor, who stared in cult classic ‘Saturday Night Fever’, was in their midst.

“Nobody looked twice at him as he walked through the packed lobby,” said an onlooker.

“He was careful to hide his face and didn’t look anyone in the eye during the day that he was there.

“He looked like be wanted to be by himself and found a quiet spot on an empty balcony to eat lunch.”

In a further effort to stay under the radar, Travolta had booked a modest room at the swish hotel and dined at a small restaurant well away from the throngs of holidaymakers.

It’s not clear why he made the quick visit to Miami, which is 300 miles away from his family home in Ocala, North Florida.

He slipped away in a limousine at around 4pm that day and was driven to a private airport where he boarded one of his own jets.

A professional pilot, Travolta is known to frequently hop around the sunshine state.

However, his afternoon departure seemed to be a rare move – Travolta usually avoids the public spotlight by flying at night.

After climbing into the six-seater lightweight aircraft with a male friend and a co-pilot, it is thought he flew himself back to the sprawling home he shares with his actress wife Kelly Preston and nine-year-old daughter Ella Bleu.

Jett, 16, died from a massive seizure on January 2 as the family holidayed at their idyllic mansion in the Bahamas.

The youngster had a history of seizures and suffered from the rare Kawasaki disease, which leads to heart disease.

Following the tragedy, Bahamian police exposed an alleged plot to extort $25 million from the Travolta family.

Two people have been charged and are awaiting trial.

Neil Young is a Mountain Man

Legendary singer and songwriter Neil Young celebrated Halloween a day late in Hollywood. He was spotted looking like some deranged mountain man on Thursday when he hit up Beverly Hills hot spot Chinese eatery, Mr. Chow.

He looked to be wearing the latest for the Ted Nugent Lumberjack Loon fall collection. The 61-year old musician looked menacing don’t you think?

I wonder if he ordered some creepy lo mein. I think his fortune cookie said something along the lines of him being creepy too. He just let himself go didn’t he? And what is with people looking like they just don’t care going to places where they know they’d be seen?

Legendary singer and entertainment giant Stevie Wonder was seen dining at Mr. Chow over the weekend. The Hollywood hotspot of an eatery is usually a place where celebrities dress their best because of the constant presence of paparazzi but Stevie isn’t just any celebrity.

He’s one of the few that can do what he wants without anyone saying anything negative about it. Case in point, going to Mr. Chow wearing a tracksuit. Talk about confidence.

But then again, when you’re blind, you’re not subject to feeling awkward at seeing people staring at you. But then again, he’s Stevie Wonder. People will stare no matter what.
