Wu Tang Sued by Clan Member

U-God is a current and performing member of the Wu-Tang Clan. After that bit of info, anyone is going to be surprised that he is actually suing his own band’s music label saying that they owe him $170,000.

The papers were filed in the District Court in New York where Lamont ‘U-God’ Hawkins says that Wu Music under Universal Music owes him the money for a variety of his god-given hip hop services rendered which includes a tour, albums and a European record contract. The rapper has feuded with the clan before leaving the band in 2004 over a dispute with bandmate The RZA but he has since rejoined.

Kid N Play Accident

Remember Kid ‘n’ Play? They’re that 80s hip hop duo that in all honesty, I know nothing about. But Play, the short-haired half of the duo, was injured in a car accident last Saturday after his SUV was hit by a car shot at by policemen.

Durham, North Carolina police say that Christopher ‘Play’ Martin was driving in town when a car driven by Raul Riva Aldamo slammed into his vehicle. Aldamo had driven toward an officer who was investigating a robbery which prompted the policeman to shoot at his car which kept going down the street. Aldamo died in the crash. Play and his passenger were released from the hospital with only minor injuries.
