James McCartney, son of ex-Beatle Sir Paul, is playing to acclaim in the UK and has reportedly been swamped with recording offers.

The 32-year-old, whose mother is the late Linda, has just wound up recording for his debut album, which was produced by his collaborator David Kahn.

A source said: “James is really happy with the album and is enjoying playing live. All he’s got to worry about is who he’s going to sign with.”

The paper claims James is fielding offers from Universal, EMI, Warner and Sony as well as smaller, independent labels. All are clamouring to sign the rocker, whose diverse influences are cited as those of Nirvana and Fleetwood Mac.

The Liverpool Daily Post last week reports McCartney appeared as a “younger, blonder version of his old man with a blue guitar slung around his neck”.

James dedicated a song, titled My Friend, to George Harrison and paid homage to his father with a performance of I Love You, Dad.

It looks like Courtney Love’s maternal instincts have really taken hold of her. She apparently wanted to buy her daughter, Frances Bean, her own house for Christmas. This is what Courtney Love related on the matter: “At Christmas time I bought her a house. And it took everything – I had to go to somebody else and get them to finance the house, because they’d frozen my account. And I was gonna blindfold her, put her in her house and go on the road – goodbye! That’s it. So, there’s no argument. She wasn’t very happy living with me, that’s OK she’s 17. Lenny Kravitz’s daughter has her own apartment at sixteen, it’s fine. As long as it’s around the corner from me and I can have some supervision, it’s fine.” Of course it’s fine! What more could Frances Bean want than to have her mother spying on her twenty-four-seven? But Courtney Love is too good to do something like that… that’s something crazy people would do.

In a recent interview with Attitude magazine, The Go-Go’s singer Belinda Carlisle discussed the emotional moment when her song came out to her in 2005 and her fears for his future. Belind shared “When he told me I was driving and I had to pull the car over. It is different when it is your child. It’s not bad or good… but you start thinking, and I don’t mean this negatively, ‘Is there something I’ve done?’ I didn’t quite understand… I worried for his safety… He came out to his school before he came out to my husband. And I was like, ‘Can’t you wait?’ He had to make a big announcement – it’s no one’s business what your sexuality is. I worry about him. He bought this t-shirt that I think is asking for trouble of two gay men holding hands. I said, ‘You can’t wear that on the street.’ He’s so out that I would like it if he reined it in a bit. But he’s living in provincial France; he’s nothing to compare it to. It’s hard for him. He’s had a few bad meltdowns being a gay teenager (living) in the middle of nowhere.”

Joe Jackson wants a monthly allowance from Michael Jackson’s estate to cover his extravagant $15,000 a month lifestyle. The King of Pop’s father spends $1200 a month for rent, $2500 to eat out, $1000 on entertainment, gifts and vacations, $2000 on air travel and $3000 on hotels. The late singer’ will only provided for allowances to his mother Katherine Jackson and his three kids so I doubt Joe will be getting any. And considering that his only source of income is his $1700 social security check, maybe he should just learn to cut back on the expenses. A judge has already rejected his petition.

The family of the late reggae sensation Bob Marley have announced that they have struck a deal wherein the family has sold to merchandise rights to a private equity firm Hilco. That means soon we could have a Bob Marley’s name and face fronting drinks, stationary, video games, luggage and other such things.

Cedella, the late singer’s daughter said regarding the deal “we’re open to licensing just about anything” but in the same breath she says “if it is not right, we will not do it.”

This is really the best way to stop bootleggers because as well would all be aware that people all over the world are selling T-shirts and other merchandise using imprints of Bob Marley and making huge profits its about time either such people share their profit with his daughter or this equity firm as is now the case.

And if they are not ready then Cedella understands the massive value her father’s name can unlock for her and she would be stupid if she does not make money from such an opportunity.
