If and when I do have a mid life crisis, I hope I don’t do anything as embarassing as this. In what lloks to be a pathetic attempt to look hip, cool and connect with the ladies, Eurythmics member Dave Stewart has teamed up with a sex toy company to develop a diamond encrusted vibrator that retails for $1400. The vibrator is called the Little Steel Tonight and is made of solid steel with a satin finish and a band of 28 diamonds. It also comes with a guitar pick attached and the lyrics from Stewart’s latest solo song ‘Let’s Do It Again’ scrawled all over it. Buyers also get a code that allow them to download the song.

Sweet dreams are made of these but definitely not of back pain. According to the singer’s official website, former Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox is recovering from spinal surgery after being forced by a back injury to return home early from an AIDS conference in Mexico. Surgeons operated on Annie at a London hospital last week to release a trapped nerve in her back that was affecting her left leg. The surgery went as planned and Annie is now recovering at home. The injury also forced her to cancel her appearance at the Edinburgh Festival of Politics where she was due to talk about her AIDS awareness campaign, SING.
