The singer recently admitted that 50 Cent is very keen on singing songs with her… so keen, in fact, that he is willing to go for 1920’s jazz if necessary. Bette Midler said the following about 50 Cent’s wishes for a duet: “Little Jewish lady and the great big rapper. He’s such a doll. I love him. He’s gorgeous. I was hoping we’d sing songs from the Depression, but he’s so young that I don’t think he knows any of them. I’m going to have to check things out and see what he feels like singing.” Well, as far as 50 Cent is concerned he’d probably even go for heavy metal if Bette Midler asked it of him. This is going to be fun to see!

Mama Minogue must be so happy as her daughters Kylie and Dannii have recorded a duet which will be the theme tune for a BBC2 sitcom called ‘Beautiful People’ scheduled to premiere later this year. The UK’ Sun is reporting that the girls have done a version of ABBA’s hit ‘The Winner Takes it All’. Dannii recently said that she would love nothing more than to collaborate with her big sister again after the pair sang Kylie and Robbie Williams’ track ‘Kids’ on Kylie’s last tour in Australia. ABBA and the Minogues spell gay heaven. I can’t wait to hear it.

Aretha Franklin really got pissed when Beyonce deemed her Grammy’s duet partner Tina Turner as ‘The Queen’ but Beyonce’s father Matthew decided to come to the defense of his daughter by releasing a statement to People on Thursday. He says “Something this ridiculous — it’s childish, it’s unprofessional. And it’s a sad day when egos get bruised because somebody used the word king, queen, prince or princess.”
So not only is Aretha not a queen but she’s also a child. The Queen of Soul should really be pissed now! Watch out Matthew, Aretha might unleash the girls on you and have her chest crush your head.

Sir Paul McCartney is set to play a concert with his son James.
The Beatles legend has teamed up with the 30-year-old guitarist on his debut album – which is due out later this year – and the father-son pair now plan to try out their new material live.
A source said: “The word is James wants to try out some of the songs on stage in the near future and it’s understood that Paul will be performing with him.”
However, any fans hoping for a big concert will be sorely disappointed, as James – whose mother was Paul’s late first wife Linda McCartney – wants to avoid attention.
The source added: “James won’t want a big fuss as he’s not someone who seeks the limelight, so it will inevitably be very low-key. But Paul is not a bad backing musician to have under the circumstances.”

Beyoncé Knowles must be ecstatic, and probably just a little nervous, following reports of what must be a dream come true for many artists these days.
The Grammy awards are up and coming. Britney Spears is reportedly banned from the building after her ridiculed performance last year and it is doubtful whether Amy Winehouse will be allowed in the country, never mind the building.
But one performance I shall definitely be tuning in to see is the duet between Beyoncé and Tina Turner. The Crazy In Love star and music legend will join forces at the prestigious award ceremony on February 10. An insider said, “We don’t know what they’ll be singing yet, but it is sure to be an amazing performance.”
Beyoncé, 26, has never made a secret of her admiration for ‘Simply The Best’ singer Tina, and even performed her hit ‘Proud Mary’ during a tribute to the star in 2005.
Well it’ll be Proud Beyoncé after the performance I am sure. If I look a bit green that’s because I am…green with envy.
