Mama Minogue must be so happy as her daughters Kylie and Dannii have recorded a duet which will be the theme tune for a BBC2 sitcom called ‘Beautiful People’ scheduled to premiere later this year. The UK’ Sun is reporting that the girls have done a version of ABBA’s hit ‘The Winner Takes it All’. Dannii recently said that she would love nothing more than to collaborate with her big sister again after the pair sang Kylie and Robbie Williams’ track ‘Kids’ on Kylie’s last tour in Australia. ABBA and the Minogues spell gay heaven. I can’t wait to hear it.

Aretha Franklin really got pissed when Beyonce deemed her Grammy’s duet partner Tina Turner as ‘The Queen’ but Beyonce’s father Matthew decided to come to the defense of his daughter by releasing a statement to People on Thursday. He says “Something this ridiculous — it’s childish, it’s unprofessional. And it’s a sad day when egos get bruised because somebody used the word king, queen, prince or princess.”
So not only is Aretha not a queen but she’s also a child. The Queen of Soul should really be pissed now! Watch out Matthew, Aretha might unleash the girls on you and have her chest crush your head.

Sir Paul McCartney is set to play a concert with his son James.
The Beatles legend has teamed up with the 30-year-old guitarist on his debut album - which is due out later this year - and the father-son pair now plan to try out their new material live.
A source said: “The word is James wants to try out some of the songs on stage in the near future and it’s understood that Paul will be performing with him.”
However, any fans hoping for a big concert will be sorely disappointed, as James - whose mother was Paul’s late first wife Linda McCartney - wants to avoid attention.
The source added: “James won’t want a big fuss as he’s not someone who seeks the limelight, so it will inevitably be very low-key. But Paul is not a bad backing musician to have under the circumstances.”

Beyoncé Knowles must be ecstatic, and probably just a little nervous, following reports of what must be a dream come true for many artists these days.
The Grammy awards are up and coming. Britney Spears is reportedly banned from the building after her ridiculed performance last year and it is doubtful whether Amy Winehouse will be allowed in the country, never mind the building.
But one performance I shall definitely be tuning in to see is the duet between Beyoncé and Tina Turner. The Crazy In Love star and music legend will join forces at the prestigious award ceremony on February 10. An insider said, “We don’t know what they’ll be singing yet, but it is sure to be an amazing performance.”
Beyoncé, 26, has never made a secret of her admiration for ‘Simply The Best’ singer Tina, and even performed her hit ‘Proud Mary’ during a tribute to the star in 2005.
Well it’ll be Proud Beyoncé after the performance I am sure. If I look a bit green that’s because I am…green with envy.

If this piece of news is true, this is what I would call a train wreck waiting to happen. Paula Abdul is reportedly in talks to perform at the Super Bowl next month. How exactly was the connection made? The Super Bowl is being shown on Fox this year. Paula stars on Fox’s American Idol. She is doing a duet with fellow Idol judge Randy Jackson for his new CD and voila. Paula hasn’t released an album in over a decade. Fox cannot be stupid enough to let this happen! Why can’t she just remain the hardly understood judge on Idol?

With songs like ‘Love and Affection’ and ‘After the Rain’, nothing better personified early 90s cheese like the group Nelson which was made up of brothers Gunnar Nelson and his equally ridiculously maned twin brother Matthew Nelson. Don’t ask me which one is which, because I have absolutely no clue.
But that was the early 90s and this is 2008. 40-year old Gunnar is now sporting a Chastity Bono-style shag. He was spotted without his wonder twin at a restaurant opening in Las Vegas on Sunday. Believe it or not, the Nelson brothers actually still insist on touring. I don’t even remember them until someone pointed it out, why would they tour?

As if the Brit awards of 2008 weren’t going to be eventful enough with the Osbournes hosting it. In fact with the whole family involved one way or another it is bound to be a colourful affair.
But to add to the frivolities Ozzy Osbourne is to fulfil a lifelong dream by performing with his hero Sir Paul McCartney. Aptly for Ozzy they will perform Paul’s classic Bond theme Live and Let Die.
Brit bosses are still thrashing out final details, but if it does come off then it will all be down to Ozzy’s wife Sharon. The X Factor judge has used her influence — and the couple’s gig as awards hosts — to set up the once in a lifetime opportunity for her hubby.
She said: “They go together really well. It will be amazing.”
Well I for one will be tuning in to the show on February 20th for a most memorable evening.

Kanye West finally got dethroned but not by 50 Cent. He got booted off the top by none other than country singer Reba McEntire.
Reba’s new duets album ‘Reba Duet’s is the number one album in America this week. The country crooner’s new album sold more than 300,000 units in the first week of its release. It’s a sale more than double Reba’s previous first-week sales high of 124,000 with the album ‘It’s Your Call’ released back in 1992.
Congrats to Reba. Congrats to Kelly Clarkson too. This is the closest she’s going to get at having a number one record in a good while.

Man, I bet that will be a great performance. I’m not a big Prince fan (though he is an awesome guitarist), but I do enjoy Elton. I hope they record it. Pop legend Elton John joined Prince on-stage in London on Thursday to perform a duet of the Beatles’ hit, Long And Winding Road. All the fans would be delighted to see them together again. These are the treats that fans wait for, seeing two good artists perform together is like a compilation of Elton and Prince’s all time greatest hits ever, you have a one in a life time chance to see them together and you do not want to miss it for anything. So what you do if the show is somewhere far from where to live but you have bought the ticket and do not want to miss. Well folk, report sick and on leave at the office like you do for major sporting events and go watch the show piece event. Do not miss it!

Everyone has noticed the closeness between Idols Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis but they’ve denied the coupling up and down. But when even after the American Idol light has died down, their being cozy is raising some eyebrows.
A witness spotted the finalists holding hands while shopping at a Fry’s Electronics store near LA. They wandered the store undisturbed and seemingly happy to be together. Blake was overheard saying to Jordin that ‘we should call your mom’. Hoping for a little motherly advice on which flat screen to buy?
The pair will tour with the rest of the Idol crew this summer, but from the looks of things, they’ve got their own duet.
