Barbra Streisand was reportedly offered a whopping $100 million for a three year contract to perform in Las Vegas and the legendary singer said no! A source said “After Celine Dion left Vegas, no one has been able to replace her. Bette Midler failed, Cher is trying, only Barbra is guaranteed to succeed. She’s an international star and the only performer in the world that would make people flock to Vegas year after year.” Well, it’s not like Barbra needs the money anyway but she is going on a tour this summer. The icon doesn’t go out of style as her latest release ‘Love is the Answer’ actually beat out Paramore and Mariah Carey for the top spot on the charts last October.

The legendary diva Cher, who is 63 years old and looks amazing, is apparently a little intimidated by her young co-stars Christina Aguilera and Kristen Bell in the movie ‘Burlesque’. The singer said “It’s a hard job. You get up at 5 a.m. and you try to look good. All these girls are, like, a third my age. That is rough.” The icon also had some kind words for Christina, saying “I’m shocked, but she’s really good. The other day, we were hamming it up so badly, so old, like vaudevillian. She was keeping up! She was hot. Her game is good!”

It looks like the singer is beginning to feel her age, even though she doesn’t look it. Cher recently admitted that she feels intimidated by her colleagues in “Burlesque”, Veronica Mars and Christina Aguilera. This is what Cher had to say on the matter and about Christina Aguilera: “It’s a hard job. You get up at 5 a.m. and you try to look good. All these girls are, like, a third my age. That is rough. I’m shocked, but she’s really good. The other day, we were hamming it up so badly, so old, like vaudevillian. She was keeping up! She was hot. Her game is good!” It probably isn’t the best of revelations to realize that no matter how much money you pump into it, there is no such thing as an anti-aging formula. Oh well, Cher will probably get used to it eventually.

Cher’s luxurious mansion in Hawaii is going up for auction in January and is expected to sell for anywhere between $8 and $12 million. It sounds like a lot but the properties in the area used to be worth $20 million or more when the economy was better. If I could, I would so totally jump on this. The iconic singer’s home has an infinity pool and spa, four “bungalow living suites”, a “media bungalow” with a bar and ocean views aplenty. That sounds lush! I wonder why she’s giving it up. Is the crappy economy affecting her pockets too?

As Bette Midler’s stint on Las Vegas is coming to an end, it looks like Cher will be returning. The iconic diva is returning not only this month and through December 20th but also in Spring 2010. Tickets for the singer’s spring run at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace are going on sale this Saturday, November 14th. There will be 24 performances between April 10-25 and May 8-30. The director and choreographer of her show, Doriana Sanchez, explained “We are so excited to return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and have made wonderful, new changes to the show, including a number choreographed by my dear friend Tyce Diorio from So You Think You Can Dance. It pays homage to the great movie musicals, complete with incredible costumes by Bob Mackie. We are thrilled to be able to present some really fun and new things for the audiences to see.”
