Celine Dion is pregnant with her second child. The singer’s Quebec publicist recently told ET Canada “They are crazy in love over the news.” The 41-year old and her husband, 67-year old Rene Angelil, conceived with the help of a team of fertility doctors in New York. The couple already has a son, 8-year old Rene-Charles. I wonder if he’s excited to become a big brother. Celine’s official website has yet to confirm the news but does say “If you hear a rumour, it will be confirmed here first. This is the only spot on the Internet where you’ll get the official Céline word!” Congratulations to the happy couple!
Celine Dion is on a list of potential buyers for a Canadian ice hockey team.
The star – who is worth about $250 million – has been linked to the purchase of NHL team The Montreal Canadiens.
According to local reports, the Bank Of Montreal has signed a confidentiality agreement with 10 potential suitors, who can submit formal bids to the team’s majority owner George Gillett – who also owns Liverpool Football Club. Gillett reportedly bought the Montreal Canadiens for $275 million in 2001.
If Dion buys the team, she would also acquire the Bell Center arena in Montreal and a concert promotion division.
The singer recently declared in an interview that she is too busy to write new songs. She had this to say: “I wish I could write songs. I have a lot of ideas. A tune will come into my head and sometimes a lyric, but I never really sit down and try to make something from it. It’s just for me. And I think I’m too busy anyway.” It gets really weird when somebody who’s more or less referred to as a “musician” doesn’t have the time to write new material. What can she be so busy doing that she doesn’t have enough time to do what could be considered her job?
Poor Celine Dion.
The singing diva has been forced to postpone several more of her North American show son her Taking Chances World Tour.
According to her doctors, Celine is suffering from a respiratory virus.

Earlier this month, Celine had to cancel shows in Minneapolis, Indianapolis, and Chicago. And in the last week she’s had to cancel several more.
Thankfully, all her concerts have been rescheduled to December, January and February.
That’s the way to do it, unlike Janet Jackson’s tour with all the canceled shows that never got rescheduled.
As for Celine, her tour promoter, AEG Live, has announced that she is recuperating from a recurrent naso-pharyngeal infection that was further complicated by inflamed vocal cords.
The company added, “Her physician has instructed her to refrain from singing in order to completely recover.”
Celine’s next show is scheduled for November 25th in San Diego.

The ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer confessed she just can’t stop buying footwear whenever she hits the shops. She said: ‘My hobbies are shopping and golfing. I own between two and three thousand pairs of shoes.’
The mother-of-one has also revealed she wants to have another baby with her manager husband Rene Angelil. Celine, who has a six-year-old son Rene-Charles, added: ‘To be a mother is my most important role – my most important work that I will ever have to do in my life. It’s my best reward.’
The Canadian star finished her five-year run in Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace performing her ‘A New Day’ extravaganza last December. She is currently on her ‘Taking Chances’ world tour, which will see her perform 120 shows.
Celine Dion has hinted that her forthcoming world tour may be her last – as she wants to concentrate on motherhood. The Think Twice singer already has one child, six-year-old Rene Charlies with husband Rene Angelil, but is keen to add to her family. Maybe she just gets caught up in the moment, and says she’ll retire, but then she realizes how much she loves singing, and needs to go back. a lot of performers think they’ll retire after they get married, or have kids, but I think that performing is too much of who they are, for them to be able to give it up completely. I think that once the audience bug has made house in them then its kind of hard to leave it all and settle down for a family. I am not saying that she will regret settling down with her family, what I’d like to say is that she may just not be able to forget the adoring fans she has worldwide.
