NBC Launches Singing Competition

It has been reported that NBC got the cast of ‘Glee’ booted from participating from Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Apart from being part of a rival network, NBC apparently has more reason to get the TV show out of the spotlight as they’ve got their own show to promote. ‘The Sing Off’ is the networks new a capella singing series that will give competing groups a chance to win a recording contract with Epic Records/Sony Entertainment. What’s the fuss about that? A capella has been on the rise in recent years and the basis for top musical acts from Motown to Boyz II Men. Oh well, at least we know that they’ve got talent.
