Singer Beyoncé’s father has said that he is very “proud” of the way his daughter dealt with Kanye West’s rude upstaging of Taylor Swift at the recent MTV Video Music Awards (VMA).

The US rapper, 32, snatched the microphone from Swift, 19, after she won the Best Female Video at this year’s VMA, claiming that Beyoncé deserved to win the award more for her Single Ladies video.

Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles, has revealed how proud he was of the way his 28-year-old daughter acted – following the incident, the singer who could be seen looking mortified by West’s outburst, invited Swift back on-stage to finish her acceptance speech.

Knowles, who is also Beyoncé’s manager, said: “It wasn’t my decision to bring Taylor out.

“It was all Beyoncé’s decision. I want to be clear about that… ultimately, that was Beyoncé’s decision.

“I can only say it was a proud night for me as a manager, but more importantly as a father.”

He added: “I’ve always said the thing that makes me most proud about Beyoncé is not how many records she’s sold… it’s that she’s a genuine good person.

“I know it’s hard for people to believe that she can really be that nice of a person, but she really is.”

Michelle Williams was recently asked about whether there will be a Destiny’s Child reunion some time in near the future. The singer said “It will definitely happen. We’re sisters, we love each other and we want to work on the future of Destiny’s Child.” The three ladies of the group began their solo careers back in 2005 with Beyonce obviously being the most successful. Of course Michelle and Kelly Rowland will be up for getting the group back together. It’s just a question of the super diva that is Beyonce wanting to participate as well. Who knows? It can make them some cash if anything.

I am really hesitant to actually develop a liking to this song but it has really grown on me. DJ/producer David Guetta has a new song out called ‘When Love Takes Over’ and it features former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland. The song sounds like a blatant rip off of a Coldplay song. It may seem bad to be sort of a copycat but when a song is done as beautifully as this one, I think you can get over it after a while. I know I have. It’s nice to see another member of Destiny’s Child scoring a hit other than Beyonce. You get tired of her after a while.

Are you ready to see more of Kelly, Beyonce and Michelle? The ladies of Destiny’s Child may have called it quits a few years ago but the girl group is said to be reuniting. However, sources are saying that it’s not by their own choice. A well-placed insider said “They still have another album they owe their label, Columbia Records, on their contract.” The timing is still being worked out but it is being said that the reunion is most likely to happen some time in 2011, after Beyonce is done touring and promoting her latest release. I wonder how that’s going to work out considering Kelly just recently parted ways with manager Matthew Knowles.

Paula Abdul must have been on heavy medication when she took part in an interview wherein she credits herself for the successes of Rihanna and Beyonce. Paula said “My videos stand the test of time. They are like the almanac for every performer. Even Rhianna has come up to me and said ‘I hope you don’t mind.’ And Beyonce. You can see the influence of what I’ve done. It’s really fun to see that I’ve left a mark. It was my idea to create an animated character. It takes a lot of focus, a lot time, and a lot of money.” Does anyone even know what she’s talking about?
