The Backstreet Boys recently took to their Twitter to announce that they’re hitting the open seas soon. The tweet read “BACKSTREET BOYS CRUISE!!! Pre-SAIL March 15th at 12:00PM EST to FC members only first. Keep checking the site for more Cruise details…” Who knew that people were actually still looking to book the boy band? Oh well, it’s a cruise anyway. I don’t really know whether to laugh, feel sorry or feel good for them. The only way that this would sell is if Nick Carter promises to keep his shirt off the whole time. As for everyone else… meh.

The Backstreet Boys have a new music video out for their song ‘Bigger’, which is the second single off of their latest album ‘This is Us’. It looks like the band’s video was shot in Japan, shortly after singer Brian Littrell was diagnosed and quarantined with the swine flu. The Backstreet Boys are scheduled to be back in the land of the rising sun in early 2010 to perform a string of concert dates on their ‘This is Us’ tour at the Saitama Super Arena, World Hall and the Nippon Gaishi Hall. When it looks like your career is dwindling down, trust that you still have something to go back to in Japan.

Brace yourselves for this piece of news! Are you sitting down? If you’ve got a weak heart, you better be, because the Backstreet Boys are back! This has to be the best piece of news I’ve reported in all of my life – NOT! The pop group is set to release a single later this month called ‘Soldier Down’. Backstreet Boys member Brian Littrell also revealed on his Twitter account that an entire new album will be available for their fans, what little may be left, to snatch up on October 6th. Does anyone still care for these guys? It’s just not working for me anymore.

Does anyone remember LFO? If you don’t, consider yourself lucky. LFO was a trio boy band that caused a blip on the radar compared to the likes of NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys. Unfortunately for us, the band has decided to get back together for a one night only event at the Highline Ballroom in New York this July. I’m really sorry for the people in New York that have to be subjected to this. Tickets go on sale on May 28th. I highly recommend that you save your money and your sanity by staying away from this gig. Unless you get some sort of pleasure

When half of your band members have alcohol problems, I highly doubt that having a contract binding a venue to provide your band with booze is a good idea. The Backstreet Boys better be listening. However, clear as day in the rider for the Backstreet Boys’ current tour is a demand for 24 bottles of beer and two bottles of high quality Italian or French red wine. What makes this particularly sad is that videos of both AJ McLean and Nick Carter out drinking within the last month have popped up. Both members have claimed to be sober after suffering from alcohol problems and going to rehab.
