It seems that the troubled singer truly does prefer to work alone as she recently refused the offer to do a duet with Robbie Williams. Amy Winehouse’s father seems to be of the same opinion with his daughter, this is what her related about the proposal: “Actually he said that once… he wanted to do a record with Amy. Amy said, ‘Are you fucking joking.’” Not very nice of Amy Winehouse to go and refuse Robbie Williams like that… she might have to deal with the revenge of some of his more special friends. They would definitely not take very kindly to such insults.
Amy Winehouse has been in Jamaica since Monday, ideally with the hopes of finishing her long awaited third album. Don’t hold your breath though. The British train wreck of a singer has reportedly been arranging flights for her other half Blake Fielder-Civil to join her so the couple can celebrate the end of his court-imposed curfew. A source said “Amy and Blake want to spend some time together away from home where they have been governed by his curfew. She is desperate for him to join her and of course he wants a nice holiday and some fun.” For the sake of everyone in the world, let’s hope this isn’t true.
Rumors have been going around that Amy Winehouse recently collapsed over the Christmas holiday and that she spend the New Years in a hospital. However, the 26-year old British singer slammed those rumors, telling OK! “I’ve actually written a few more songs over Christmas. I’ve been at home, been over my Mum’s, actually been knuckling down to it really.” A spokesperson for Wino followed up by saying “It’s just not true. She won’t be checking into hospital, she has no need to.” If you want further proof of that, Wino was seen leaving Hawley Arms pub with a friend in Camden, London this past Wednesday night.
In preparation for her third album, Amy Winehouse has tagged up with producer Mark Ronson, whose only real international success came when he produced the troubled singer’s ‘Back to Black’ album. This could be a good start because I don’t completely trust her on her own. And although they had a falling out over her drug habit, they have reconciled. A source said “I was talking to Mark about Amy. He thinks she’s getting better and they are working together and will start recording soon. Everything he does is awesome.” Let’s all hope that this source has all his facts right.
A barman to the stars will publish a tell-all memoir about the celebrities he has met on the island of Mustique.
“My book will shock the high society of Mustique as it will tell the truth about celebrities at play,” said Basil Charles, 62, who is also known as The King of Mustique. Charles has served drinks to the likes of the Beckhams, Mick Jagger, Amy Winehouse, Kate Moss and Princess Margaret.
He says he has no fear about breaking the island’s famous code of silence. “There will be revelations in the book, some of them shocking, but I’m not afraid to write it. Why should I be?” he said.
