Amy Winehouse could be dead within three months after developing emphysema.

The ‘Rehab’ singer – who was admitted to hospital after collapsing at her home last week - has been warned she must quit drugs or face using a wheelchair and oxygen supplies to help her breathe as the deadly lung condition worsens.

Amy’s father Mitch said: “To think this could be my beautiful 24-year-old daughter’s life is preposterous. But if drugs mean more to her than breathing properly, then so be it. The doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs it won’t just ruin her voice, it will kill her. It’s in its early stage but had it gone on for another month they painted a very vivid picture of her sitting there with a mask on her face struggling to breathe.”

Emphysema eats away at lungs leaving sufferers breathless and frail. Despite doctors’ warnings Amy is still determined to perform at Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert in London’s Hyde Park on Friday and the Glastonbury music festival on Saturday.

A special St John’s Ambulance crew will be on permanent standby for the star on Friday. Concert organizers are also refusing her request for alcohol in her rider, and her backstage area will feature a private hospital suite.

Universal records has given Amy Winehouse an ultimatum – either she quit the drugs or else she will not have her new record released. No record release means no money for drugs. The label made a similar threat earlier this year to get Wino into rehab after pictures and a video of her smoking crack surfaced. An insider says that Universal have stepped up again saying “Amy has been reminded of her responsibilities. Unless she is clean she will not be allowed to release another album.” Let’s hope this ultimatum will shake Amy straight though I’m not betting on it especially if Blake gets out of prison early.

Keith Richards warns Amy Winehouse

Keith Richards has warned Amy Winehouse to stay away from drugs.

The Rolling Stones rocker - who has previously battled a heroin addiction - says the troubled ‘Rehab’ singer needs to kick her dangerous habit before it ’s too late. The 64-year-old guitarist, who once infamously joked he had snorted his father’s ashes, said: “She should get her act together.”

The band’s frontman Mick Jagger, who was briefly jailed in 1967 for possessing drugs, has also advised young stars not to follow in the Stones’ notorious footsteps.

Speaking at the Berlin premiere of Rolling Stones documentary ‘Shine a Light ‘, Mick said: “When we were experimenting with drugs, little was known about the effects. In our time there were no rehab centres. Anyway I did not know about them.”

Mick, 64, has previously expressed concern for Amy’s wellbeing saying: “I’m worried she might die if she goes down the road she has taken.”

He’s not the only one…

Amy Winehouse must be feeling popular. She has been asked to perform at this years Brit awards – not once, but twice.

She will perform ‘Valerie’ as part of a Mark Ronson medley where Adele and Daniel Merriweather will also take turns to sing with the producer. The lights will then go down and the audience will think that Amy’s show is over.

But the Brit organisers have cleared another spot in the schedule for our troubled singer. The lights will come back up and she will perform a stripped down version of one of her other hits.

A source said: “Amy will be part of the Ronson medley, but she will also do something on her own. Along with Macca she is the night’s big attraction. The lights will come back up and she will sing one of her more emotive hits. It will be a magical moment.”

Amy Winehouse wins five grammys

She may not have been in attendance, but there was no doubt the 2008 Grammys belonged to Amy Winehouse.

The singer, whose personal life is in turmoil, pipped Kanye West by one gong, winning a staggering five out of six awards. She was close to making it a clean sweep but missed out on scooping Album of the Year to little known jazz veteran Herbie Hancock.

After receiving her fifth award, ironically Record of the Year for hit single Rehab, an emotional Amy looked stunned and stared straight ahead for several seconds as the television feed cut to her in the London studio.

She then hugged her mum, Janice and thanked her parents before giving a message to her husband via a satellite link-up.

“To my mum and dad, for my Blake, my Blake incarcerated, Thank you very much, it’s an honor to be here. Thank you very, very much.”

Britney Spears Blackout

When Britney Spears’ ‘Blackout’ album came out, everyone pretty much knew that this was it for her and all hopes of her actually getting accolades for her work has gone down the drain. But then again, we can end up getting corrected. The pop wreck actually took home the award for Best International Album at the NRJ Music Awards which was held in Cannes, France on Saturday. The fallen pop star beat out big names like Mika, Amy Winehouse, James Blunt and Rihanna. It’s unbelievable. This is such a travesty! I demand a recount! There’s no way she could have beaten Rihanna!

Beyonce KnowlesTina Turner
Beyoncé Knowles must be ecstatic, and probably just a little nervous, following reports of what must be a dream come true for many artists these days.

The Grammy awards are up and coming. Britney Spears is reportedly banned from the building after her ridiculed performance last year and it is doubtful whether Amy Winehouse will be allowed in the country, never mind the building.

But one performance I shall definitely be tuning in to see is the duet between Beyoncé and Tina Turner. The Crazy In Love star and music legend will join forces at the prestigious award ceremony on February 10. An insider said, “We don’t know what they’ll be singing yet, but it is sure to be an amazing performance.”

Beyoncé, 26, has never made a secret of her admiration for ‘Simply The Best’ singer Tina, and even performed her hit ‘Proud Mary’ during a tribute to the star in 2005.

Well it’ll be Proud Beyoncé after the performance I am sure. If I look a bit green that’s because I am…green with envy.

Pete Doherty

I know. It’s about Amy Winehouse. Again. But I can’t help it. Things just seem to be going from bad to worse these days. After I reported a couple of days ago of Amy’s “clean start”; seemingly dubious due to the presence of Pete Doherty … our girl has once again been spotted with a nose that wouldn’t look out of place in the Alps.

The nocturnal singer was partying in Soho until the early hours after playing a secret gig in Greek Street despite cancelling her UK tour last week. When she stumbled out of the venue, the ever lady like singer spat at photographers and awaiting fans. Lovely.

Someone take control of this girl. Rumour is the people in charge have plans to get Amy back into Rehab – in Israel. But the laughable point is that the course is only a week long; which is why they think they will be able to persuade the troubled one into attending. Sounds like a holiday in my books.

Mick Jagger fears for Amy Winehouse’s health after her reported struggle to kick her drug habit - he’s worried the troubled soul star is heading for an early grave. Early grave Mick looks who’s giving some free advice. I think the best business all these crocked up good for nothing stars are left with today is opening a free consultancy service and speak about the celebrities who are in trouble. Mick himself faced a troublesome period with drugs so how does he think he is qualified enough to be telling others that they are nearing the grave, if he could pull himself out of his grave then Amy is certainly a better leveled headed person than Mick Jagger and she should be able to avoid the grave. The problem right now is that despite the rehabs and everyone trying to help her she is not showing any signs that she is willing to get clean. It’s upon her the day she finds the courage to say no she will get clean and we all hope a talent like her does it sooner than later.
