It seems like Paula Abdul may be getting herself a gig in Las Vegas. Reports are saying that the former American Idol judge is looking to take over a bigger stage and is in serious talks to bring a revue-style stage show Sin City. I don’t doubt that she can pull it off. Judging from her performance on Idol last season, she still has the moves. She’s going to have to lip synch though but a lot of people seem to be doing that these days. It’s no longer a shocker. Sources say that some of the names interested in Paula’s stage show are The Venetian, the Wynn Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Hilton.

Sources connected to Paula Abdul are saying that the former American Idol judge wants to go back to the show. Sources say that the former singer’s Twitter about leaving the show can be retracted if the price is right. As it was being reported by several media outlets, Paula wants $10 million. With how the negotiations in Hollywood go, that number can move depending on how desperate she gets. It’s also being said that Paula’s meetings with ABC didn’t really go anywhere. She doesn’t want to do Dancing with the Stars and that she’s pissed at producers of ‘Ugly Betty’ for leaking the story that she was talking to them about appearing on the show.

Paula Abdul is taking gigs left and right, most likely in an attempt to up her salary negotiations to return to American Idol. The former judge is now said to be appearing on Idol soon – Australian Idol that is. And with the Australian version following a similar format to the US version, it will be easy for Paula to fit in. Sources say that the Aussie execs have already reached out with a request to snag Paula away. But unless their paying her an insanely huge amount, I doubt she’s going to take it. That’s just how Paula rolls. It’s an ugly truth.

Paula Abdul will not be returning to American Idol this coming season. The judge was unable to come to financial terms with the show’s producers about her return. The judge recently took to her Twitter to talk about it, saying “With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1 become an international phenomenon. What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me. It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month. ” I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.”

There are reports that are saying that Paula Abdul will not be returning as a judge on American Idol next season. Her manager, David Soneberg, recently informed reporters that “Very sadly, it does not appear that she’s going to be back on Idol.” Even though Paula wants to still be on as a judge, Idol production heads FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment have yet to draw up a contract for her. Mind you, the shooting starts on August 6! Both Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell have already been offered major contracts to return, while Randy Jackson’s contract runs through 2011. So why has Paula been left hanging?

With lead singer Amy Lee having left the band Evanescence to pursue a new path, fans wondered what everyone else would do. The band has changed its name to Fallen and has acquired a brand new female vocalist in the form of American Idol alum Carly Smithson. The band includes guitarist and songwriter Ben Moody, drummer Rocky Gray, guitarist John Lecompt and bassist Marty O’Brian, the only other musician not in the original line up of Evanescensce. Fallen has released a free download of their first song on their website. I can’t imagine anyone else keeping up with Amy’s vocals but I’d like to be surprised.

Former American Idol finalist, MICHAEL JOHNS will be performing his new single “Heart on My Sleeve” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show next Monday, May 25th. The Aussie vocalist will be releasing his first post-Idol solo album, Hold Back My Heart on June 23rd. Encouraged by his mentor David Foster, who invited Johns to appear on his star-studded David Foster And Friends PBS special in December 2008, Johns chose the road less traveled, and for the first time in his adult life, went to work on an album with no deal in place. “Foster always said that the secret of his success is to look at whatever lane is open in the music industry and take it,” Johns recalls. “And the way my record combines old and new, I could open for Alicia Keys one night and John Mayer the next, it’s right in the middle.” Songwriter Diane Warren, who penned the knee-buckling ballad “Heart Is Weak,” was another key endorsement. “There’s nothing more validating than having these heavyweights behind you,” says Johns. “It’s like screw winning American Idol when people like David Foster and Diane Warren are saying you have the real thing here.”

With an album completed and ready to turn in, Johns had the rare freedom to shop it around, and when Downtown Records, home to Gnarls Barkley, Cold War Kids and Santigold, showed interest in a licensing deal, he jumped at the opportunity to finally control his own fate. “I think we’re in the most exciting period of music ever, because there’s so many ways to do it,” he says. And like most of his plans thus far, Johns is thinking big for his future. “The live show is going to be great,” he says excitedly. “I might even take it old school with different bands in different towns — almost like what Chuck Berry and all those guys used to do.”

Tune in to see Michael Johns on The Ellen DeGeneres Show next Monday, May 25th. Check your local listings for times.

Paula Abdul has finally put to rest the rumors that she’s leaving American Idol. Paula recently said at a Fox event “I am a big fan of the show. I am blessed to be on the show. It’s the greatest show on television all around the world and … a gazillion people would love to be in my shoes.” Rumors that she was leaving stemmed from her comments to Barbara Walters that she was mad at the show for letting a crazed fan audition despite telling them not to and producers being aware of the circumstances. Paula was quick to deny leaving though when pressed about her comments saying “Well, that is true. But that’s that. I can’t talk about it anymore. It’s an ongoing police investigation.” Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly also commented about Paula’s future on the show saying “Paula’s an integral part of the show. As far as we’re concerned, we want to have her as long as the show goes. When we get into those discussions, we’ll see where Paula’s head is at.”

I think someone should stop paula abdul before she loses her whole career.

Someone should teach her to how to shut up! Talking about her dead stalker might cost her American Idol job.

Or is it helping the ratings of American Idol next January?

According to several reports, there are mixed reactions regarding her too much talking from AI bosses.

We’re all used to Adbul’s ‘craziness’ but her actions of late are just so insane, she just might lose her job!

Some bosses are saying that she is kissing her AI judging days good-bye, when she blasted the AI bosses about super fan Paula Goodspeed because she’s planning on leaving anyway. Others, however are saying that she’s in for another season.

And her reps are confirming these reports that she’s staying on the show.

Sooooooooooooo….

So maybe the whole thing is just an elaborate public relations scheme to garner interest in Abdrool’s upcoming HSN line of garbage jewelry and AI’s 8th season.

Either way, she should learn to shut up!

A woman, believed to be the Paula Abdul’s stalker (oh yes, even she gets a stalker), was found dead outside her home. Police believe that she is the stalker who they’ve dealt with “numerous times before.” The woman’s body was discovered in her car and a drug overdose is the likely cause of death. TMZ reports:
An LAPD spokesperson said the parents of the victim believe their daughter was a “big fan” of Paula’s. Whether this has anything to do with the victim’s death is unclear, but it seems more than a coincidence her body was found just yards from Paula’s home.
The LAPD also claims that there is no evidence of foul play. They also report that her name is Paula Godspeed, the woman who auditioned and snapped at the judges at the moment she got rejected.
As of press time, we have not heard from told Paula who was not home and possibly shooting for “American Idol.”
