Singer Natalie Cole has been hospitalized. The daughter of legendary singer Nat King Cole was diagnosed with Hepatitis C back in July and has been fighting the disease with chemotherapy. Her spokesperson said “The combination of the treatment she’s been undergoing and the heavy promotional schedule for her new album took its toll. Her doctors decided they needed to put her in the hospital. They expect her to be there for a few days, then she’ll be on a month of bed rest.” She then added that the set back in the signer’s treatment is not considered life threatening. Let’s hope that she has a speedy recovery.

It’s comeback season once again as 90s rockers Alice In Chains are reportedly working on a new album. It’s been more than 13 years since they’ve been in the studio to work on new material. The new stuff will feature their new singer William DuVall. Their original mouth Layne Staley suffered a fatal drug overdose in 2002. What do you say, grunge rockers? Personally, bands with new singers, especially those with a hardcore following, don’t do so well. it’s all about letting the spirit of the old singer leave on. Fans would rather see a new band, even if it had old faces, instead of trying to recreate what they had before.

Metallica’s first album in over five years, Death Magnetic, is projected to be doing fairly well.
According to statistics, the album is well on its way to top U.S. album charts this week.
The official data will be released before the week ends, but according to preliminary estimates, their new album will make it big.
According to many sources, Death Magnetic is said to have sold 450,000 - 500,000 copies last week, even though the album was only on sale for three days.
Good job, oldies!!!
Their last album, St. Anger, also sold very well during its first week of release, selling 419,000 copies in just three days as well.
A good reason why the sales are up is because some stores, like Best Buy, are bundling the album with Guitar Hero and even with some Metallica headphones.
Ticketmaster is also offering a ticket/album deal for buyers.
Hmmm… Are you gonna buy a rock album by a bunch of old guys?
