While it’s still a taboo topic to talk about for some, Alanis Morissette doesn’t have any problems about discussing her love for the herb. The 90s pop rock singer recently sat down with High Times magazine to talk about how pot helps her kick start her creative process. Alanis said “I’m all about moderation – as best I can be. As an artist, there’s a sweet jump-starting quality to it (marijuana) for me. I’ve often felt telepathic and receptive to inexplicable messages my whole life. I can stave those off when I’m not high. When I’m high – well, they come in and there’s less of a veil, so to speak. So if ever I need some clarity… or a quantum leap in terms of writing something, it’s a quick way for me to get to it.”

The singer recently discussed her way of getting automatically inspired with “High Times” magazine. This is what Alanis Morissette said about her inspirational infusion: “I’ve often felt telepathic and receptive to inexplicable messages my whole life. I can stave those off when I’m not high. When I’m high – well, they come in and there’s less of a veil, so to speak. So if ever I need some clarity… or a quantum leap in terms of writing something, it’s a quick way for me to get to it.” Robbie Williams might want to try this stuff too… it might help him get in touch more with those “special friends” of his. Maybe Alanis Morissette can give him a few pointers? She certainly seems experienced enough.

New Alanis Morissette video

Alanis Morissette is finally returning to the music scene. She has just released a power ballad called ‘Underneath’. The song was produced by Guy Sigsworth, known for his work with Frou Frou and Imogen Heap. A video is also out for the song and it was directed by Matt Docter.

According to Wiki, the song had an unofficial debut on September 15, 2007 at the Kodak Theatre in LA at the Elevate Film Festival. Alanis reportedly submitted her song and just like all other 14 videos shown at the festival, had the song’s video written, directed, shot and edited in two ways.

Alanis Morissette is Alluring

Alanis Morissette is having a new album come out in a few months and she’s going to go on tour with Matchbox 20. With all those new things in store, why not add a sizzling new look to boot?

The Canadian rocker debuted a glamorous new makeover in the new issue of Allure magazine. Now this is how you do a makeover without selling out. Are you hearing me Avril Lavigne? I can’t wait to hear the songs on Alanis’ album. She was always a great writer and has some of the best songs which is much more than I can say for Avril.

Alanis Morissette
Since she’s already made a cover of a Fergie song, why not use it as a soundtrack too? Cue Fergie’s track ‘Glamorous’ because here comes Alanis Morissette! The singer has gone from grunge to completely fabulous. And I find that just a little ironic. Yes, pun was intended.

Cameras caught the former angry rocker outside of NYU’s Skirball Center and she looked amazing! The scraggly dark hair and bitter temperament that made her famous with ‘You Oughta Know’ back in 1995 was long gone and was replaced with luscious wavy hair and a sunny disposition.

We all live and learn, I guess.
