The singer who is apparently lucky to be alive since his heart might have developed a habit of going on and off at times has recently spoken of his great ambition to write a big hit. But Pete Doherty doesn’t want to write just any type of hit, he wants a Barry White-like hit. This is what Pete Doherty said on the matter: “Well Mik Whitnall, years ago, when we first started writing together, he took me aside and said, ‘Look, if we’re really going to bother with this we’re going to have to come up with a ‘My Way’ or something. Like a fuck off big Frank Sinatra or Barry White style, one-off, big hit.’” Yeah, because let’s face it, there’s no point for Pete Doherty to be in music if he can’t come up with a one shot hit… it’s like, his whole artistic career has no meaning.
