Woodstock the Musical

The legendary music festival of the 60s, Woodstock, has been immortalized on film, a book and now – a musical! One of the organizers of the festival, Michael Lang, is producing a Broadway musical about the 1969 landmark music fest with the score to be taken from the tunes of the era and book based off tome, ‘The Road to Woodstock’. The production team is hoping to have a workshop up and running within the next year and hit the Great White Way during the 2010-2011 season. That’s a pretty ambitious thing to aim for considering it’s pretty hard to come by some good funding these days.
