Oprah connects with Whitney Houston in most powerful interview shes ever done
Chat show queen Oprah Winfrey has said that an interview she has taped with singer Whitney Houston is “the most powerful interview I’ve ever done”.
“I can’t think of a moment, ever, when I had a stronger connection to the person I was interviewing,” said Winfrey about the interview, which is set to air in the US next week.
“I just wanted to be able to have an honest conversation with her [Houston]. One woman to another woman,” says Oprah.
“And the day of the interview I literally prayed about that all day long. I just wanted a connection between the two of us. And that is what happened.”
She added: “And that is why I believe it’s one of the most, if not the most, powerful interviews I’ve ever done.”
The talk show titan hinted that they spoke openly and honestly about the star’s former drug problems and her troubled marriage to Bobby Brown.
“I think whether you liked or loved Whitney Houston before, you will certainly have a deeper appreciation for what she has been through as a human being,” Winfrey said.
