Elvis and Johnny Cash Head to Broadway

The music of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins is headed to the stage with the upcoming ‘Million Dollar Quartet’, scheduled to run this coming spring. The musical has been doing very well since it opened last October in Chicago. The producers are expecting the same success once it hits Broadway. The show is based on the 1956 jam session between the four iconic musicians brought together by record producer Sam Phillips of Sun Records in Memphis. The score includes ‘Blue Suede Shoes’, ‘Great Balls of Fire’, and ‘I Walk the Line’, among other popular songs of the time period.
