Whitney Houston Fires Back

Back in December, Whitney Houston was sued by her stepmom, Barbara Houston. It was all about how Whitney allegedly “improperly kept the proceeds from John Houston’s $1 million insurance policy” after his death. Apparently, Whitney was supposed to pay off the mortgage to her late dad’s condo. Months later, Whitney is countersuing her stepmom for $1.6 million. According to the singer, her stepmom owes her money for failing to make payments on the condo, which Barbara has been living in for over 2 decades. Whitney says that she provided her dad with the mortgage loan to buy the place and she was still owed most of the money when he died.
