Marvin Gaye has TWO FILMS

No kidding
The rebellious Prince of Motown – Marvin Gaye – is receiving a double film treatment for the near future.
The first film will be directed by Italian Job director F. Gary Gray and will be produced by David Foster and Duncan McGillivray. Blood Diamond’s writer, C. Gaby Mitchell, is signed on to pen the script. The film, entitled Marvin, will cover the entire span of the musician’s life, from his rise to Prince of Soul, his defiance of the restrictive hit-making Motown system, his fall and comeback, and finally his tragic 1984 death at the hands of his father.
The other film is entitled Sexual Healing, which will focus on Gaye’s decline post-Motown,
The production was hung up on acquiring the rights to Gaye’s catalog, but with that issue finally cleared up, producers are shopping the film around for some financing.
The actors will lip-sync Marvin’s songs, because really now, who could do it better?
Who do you think will do the better job? Marvin or Sexual Healing?
