Boy George’s Family Day

Here’s some great news for New York City’s Department of Sanitation employees. Boy George will be performing at your Family Day on August 17th. Oops! Did you miss the sarcasm in the first sentence? Two years after he swept the city streets as part of community service, the singer has decided to perform a free concert for his former co-workers. He says “The people I worked alongside showed great kindness to me at a very difficult time, and I wanted to thank them all in a way that would show my appreciation.” I bet they were just nice because they didn’t know it was Boy George they were working with.
