Romantics offended by Guitar Hero

The 80’s band called Romantics are arguing with game maker Activision over a song of theirs that has been included into the popular game Guitar Hero. Amongst tens of other songs, the song What I Like About You originally played by the Romantics features as a main attraction for the game.
The band is not upset because they don’t receive money from the sales, because the copyrights are still their and Activision agreed to pay the percentage they probably discussed. Romantics` member feel offended by the in game characters and their in game performance as it is too close to the real video clip.
Frankly I don’t understand what the problem is. Once Romantics agreed for Activision to use their song, it should have been clear to them from the start that the in game performance, both video and audio, will be made as close to the real one as possible.
