New Bohemian Shot Dead

Some sad news for the band Edie Brickell & the New Bohemians. Their keyboard player, Jeffrey Carter Albrecht, was shot to death early Monday in Dallas, while trying to kick in the door at his girlfriend’s neighbor’s house.
He was shot dead by a neighbor who quite possibly thought that he was a burglar trying to break in. The 34-year old musician died at the scene. The reason why Albrecht was pounding on the shooter’s door is currently unknown and the case is still under investigation. No arrests have been made however.
Albrecht had been playing with the New Bohemians since 1999 and had played with Edie Brickell’s husband Paul Simon and Charlie Sexton.
