Babyface Recalls Marriage Split Pain In New Song
Soul star Babyface has recalled the moment he had to tell his kids that he and their mother were separating in a touching new tune. The singer – real name Kenneth Edmonds – has dedicated Not Going Nowhere to the two children he fathered with his ex-wife Tracey, who is now romancing funnyman Eddie Murphy. In the new song, Edmonds sings, “I’m still best of friends with your mom/Have no doubt that we’ll still make time to hang out/I promise I won’t let you down.” I can never understand that why do children have to go through the agony and pain at the separation for their parents. Why people reconcile and live together, why does there have to be a bitter custody battle for the kids we have given birth to? There’s always a reason but at times there’s not an answer – why, coz we have become so intolerant that we cannot wait for things to fall in place we make quick decisions and move on with life without giving anything a chance.
