The Dolly Way

The iconic and living legend Dolly Parton is setting up her own record label. With everything still in the fresh stages, Dolly Records’ debut release will be Dolly’s new album which is due out in February of 2008.
With Dolly being a free agent, her manager Danny Nozell looked at several distribution deals but failed to see anything he was interested in, so they decided to go at it on their own. He adds that they have the finances and was even able to put together a marketing plan better than what he has been offered.
When talking about the new album, Danny says that it’s going to be a back-to-her-roots type of album and would be more mainstream than what Dolly has released in 17 years.
