LeAnn Rimes Hands Huge Gift
LeAnn Rimes did a good dead. Iraq veteran Peter Reid was forced to need two individuals to get in and out of his van but this is all history now. He was injured in 2004 by a mortar attack and left him partially paralyzed, dependant on a wheelchair and blind of one eye, not to mention shrapnel still in his head, body and brain injury. You can imagine that these injuries made it very hard for him to drive and even leave his house in Palm Bay.
Rimes was impressed by the story and made a gift. She bought a special wheelchair-accessible van and handed Peter the keys. He was very surprised and grateful with emotion easily noticeable while saying:
“She’s wonderful. She walked up to me like I was part of her family. She said, ‘Pete, come with me. I have something for you.’ I went out and there was the van. It was quite a surprise.”
It is always good to see a celebrity do something without being asked and giving back to the community.
