“Breakfast at Tiffany’s” was one of the movies that Audrey Hepburn was associated with and still is. A simple, pink cocktail dress worn by her in the movie was just sold at an auction for $200,000. This is actually around six times more than what the auctioneers expected to get. Another dress at the auction got $192,000, the one worn when Holly Golightly discovers her brother died. For this dress we found out that the auction house expected to get just $30,000. Helen Hall, head of entertainment memorabilia declared:

“The sale was filled with iconic pieces. It captured people’s imagination.”
This auction was truly successful and included Marilyn Monroe’s script for “Something’s Got To Give” (with her personal handwritten notes) a program of John F. Kennedy and many other memorabilia items that simply sold like crazy.
