Roman Polanski

Director Roman Polanski, it seems is a rather hot headed person. Now if the journalist at the on going Cannes Film Festival repeatedly asks the same question then a funny answer can at times just cool down the atmosphere and make it more friendly. Instead Mr. Roman Polanski grabbed the microphone and blasted words out of his mouth and then left the conference in haste. The conference was taking place on Sunday. His cause for anger was that the journalist that where asking questions to a group of 30 other directors, were actually asking ‘empty questions’ and this irked him. Just before the conclusion of the conference, Polanski, 73, took the microphone and uttered – “It’s a shame that you people are asking such poor questions, such empty questions. And I think it’s really the computer, which has brought you down to this level. You are no longer interested in what’s going on in the Cinema.” These were his words in response to the frequent questions focused on the future of cinema in the digital age.
