Mr. De Niro is of one Hollywood’s most recognizable faces internationally and his performances in movies like God Father and Raging Bulls have taken him to the top of Hollywood’s most successful actors. Robert De Niro has done so much with such diverse roles that he has the enviable position of being linked with some of film’s most memorable characters such as Vito Corleone in The Godfather, Part II, Al Capone in The Untouchables, or Jake La Motta in Raging Bull. But as with every celebrity there are some controversies that have hit this actor as well. Actor Robert De Niro is asking a California judge to dismiss a law suit against him, filed by Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company accusing him of fraud. The suit accuses him of deceit around the time of his 2003 prostate cancer diagnosis. The firm paid a Fox Studios $1.87 million after De Niro was forced to delay the shooting of the film Hide And Seek so he could receive treatment. The firm says that De Niro misrepresented his health when he signed a certificate with them, stating he had never been diagnosed of prostate cancer. Probably Mr. De Niro was looking for a paid vacation from work so he decided to use that insurance to good effect.
